AL-KO Gardentech strengthens its sales structures in South East Europe
Acquisition of the Croatian garden machinery company Gardentech d.o.o.
Kötz–The German AL-KO Gardentech has taken over Gardentech d.o.o. based in Zagreb (Croatia) in order to strengthen its sales structures as of 1 October 2018. At the same time the company will be renamed as AL-KO Gardentech d.o.o.. The parties agreed on confidentiality regarding the financial terms.
Gardentech d.o.o. with its managing director Josip Frljuzec has more than 35 years of experience in the gardening industry. Thus he has longstanding, intensive and successful business relations with customers in sales channels DIY, specialized trade as well as importers. AL-KO Gardentech will now be able to serve markets in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania from its site in Zagreb. Managing directors of the new sales office will be Josip Frljuzec and Thomas Hoffmann (AL-KO Geräte GmbH).

Following the acquisition of the New Zealand market leader Masport last year and the UK garden machinery supplier Rochford Garden Machinery Ltd. in August 2018, the acquisition of Gardentech d.o.o. is a strong signal that AL-KO Gardentech continues its ongoing positive business development.
